Been working on my japan style diorama this week, by ironing out the pipeline and having a go with a few different ways of doing things. The planks were exported from Maya and sculpted with Zbursh and exported to substance with normals from zbrush. This worked really well where the bridge it's self was sculpted in Mudbox and baked in marmoset, which worked really well and marmosets baking capabilities are amazing! I think I'm going to be working with the Zbrush pipeline from now as not having to bake in another software is really useful and I am trying to force myself to get into sculpting properly. I couldn't get the normals looking correct on sketchfab so this is just the diffuse and normals on the bridge but it's a good start anyway. This was also a test to see what hand painting was like! I've wanted to try out this style for years and I am really happy with how easy substance makes this technique!
