Abstract

Der Fuchsturm - Grünhain - Zollturm (Salzstraße)* Dieser Turm ist das einzige noch verbliebene Gebäude aus der Klosterzeit (1233 - 1536). Er wurde vermutlich von Mönchen in der zweiten Hälfte des 13. Jahrhunderts gebaut und zwar als Tor in der Heute nicht mehr vorhandenen Abgrenzung der Klausur von ihren übrigen Gebäude innerhalb der Klostermauer. Diesen Bereich des Klosters zu betreten war weltlichen Personen nicht gestattet. Heute ist er Ausstellungsraum und Domizil des Grünhainer Berg- und Krippenvereins. G.
