
DStretch Version Under the place for a grave of an arched niche (arcosolium) is this similar arched niche for 1-2 burials situated. The niche is located in a corridor in the upper level of the Catacombs of San Gennaro (Naples). The Catacombs were used for burials from the 2nd century AD to the middle ages. The paintings are in a poor conservation status: A red frame system divides the surface in geometrical motives, in which different objects are placed such as a dolphin, a standing, naked figure and two reddish ornaments (with rays on top). A recesses on the left side was the place for a lamp. Processed from 180 photos.
