
Dark grey limestone relief, decorated in three registers: the largest, central frieze is divided by four arching niches and bordered on either side by a vertical ornament of male and female figures among interlacing acanthus branches. Between the niches are three mythological scenes, l-r: Odysseus sailing past the sirens; Dionysos and the pirates; the Argonauts and the Stymphalian birds. Above this frieze is a narrow frieze with hunting scenes, partially set in a reed-bed; below another narrow frieze with a marine theme, dolphins, hippocamps and other marine creatures.
