
In the Synagogue in Oświęcim, there is a plaque commemorating three gabaias - administrators or managers of the synagogue: Jakir Singer, Chaim Goldstein and Alter Neuberg. It is the only original element of its pre-war decor, and its content is as follows: This house of prayer was built (dedicated) to the memory of gebbaim - Jakir Singer (Long Live), Chaim Goldstein (Long Live), Alter Neuberg (Long Live) in 5688 (= 1928) according to a large count of time.
