
Spariolenus Simon, 1880 Type species: Spariolenus tigris Simon, 1880, from eastern India, Calcutta. For redescription and illustration see Jäger (2001, 2006). Generic diagnosis. Distinguished from other Heteropodinae by a combination of somatic and genital characters: most importantly, the number of spines on ventral tibia of legs: I–II 10, III 8 and IV 6 (vs. commonly I–IV 6 in others); male palp with short v- and dRTA; female copulatory organ with two spirally coiled CO which constructing two large rims ventrally.
