
Dohrniphora aprosmicta sp. n. (Figs 61–62) Species recognition. This species can be recognized by the combination of the basal transverse group of peglike setae and the isolated toothlike process on the ventral margin of the hind femur. Description. Body length: 1.72–2.19 mm. Head: Frons brown, second row of setae concave. Flagellomere 1 oval, light brown. Palpus of normal size, yellow. Thorax: Scutum light brown. Scutellum brown, with 2 pairs of setae; anterior seta one-third length of posterior seta. Pleuron whitish-yellow, except proepisternum and dorsum of anepisternum brown. Mean costal length 0.54 wing length, range 0.53–0.54. Halter yellow. Legs yellowish-brown. Forecoxa in lateral view whitish-yellow. Foretibia with 3–4 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres 1–3 enlarged, inflated. Midcoxa brown. Hind coxa whitish-yellow. Hind coxal lobe yellow, only slightly developed. Posterior face of hind femur with basal transverse group of peglike setae; more distally with small, isolated toothlike process on ventral margin (Figs 61–62). Abdomen: Abdominal tergite 1 brown, tergites 2–6 yellow medially and brown laterally, with medial yellow area decreasing in every tergite posteriorly; amount of yellow varies among specimens. Venter of abdomen whitish-yellow, with few setae, larger on posterior margin of segment 5. Male terminalia brown, cercus yellow. Distribution. Amazonian Colombia. Derivation of specific epithet. From a Greek word for alone, referring to the single spine on the venter of the hind femur. Holotype. ♂, COLOMBIA: Amazonas: Amacayacu NP, Matamata, 3.82°S, 70.26°W, 21–28.viii.2000, A.
