Abstract

The pragmatic potential of proverbs in both English and Uzbek languages is rich and multifaceted, offering insights into the cultural, social, and linguistic dimensions of these linguistic traditions. Proverbs serve as concise, often metaphorical expressions of wisdom, experience, and shared values, reflecting the beliefs and worldviews of the communities in which they are used.
