Abstract

Presentazione su call tenuta alla GenOA Week 2023 nella sessione "Biblioteche per l'Open Science" Abstract delle autrici: L'intervento si articola in due parti.Nella prima si evidenzierà, attraverso lo studio della letteratura, il ruolo centrale dell'Open access di area biomedica nei paesi LMICs (low‐ and middle‐income countries), analizzando come esso sia da un lato un elemento che costruisce inclusione, capacità, empowerment e dall'altro un limite, laddove sono imposti costi elevati di pubblicazione (APCs).Nella seconda parte dell'intervento verrà illustrato un portale web realizzato dalla Biblioteca di Scienze Mediche e Farmaceutiche dell'Università di Genova, in cui sono organizzate per area tematica risorse biomediche ad accesso aperto (e-journals, ebooks, database, immagini, video). Tale portale integra ed è destinato a un progetto di Cooperazione internazionale in essere tra l'Università di Genova e una Onlus che gestisce un Ospedale Policlinico e una Scuola di Medicina in Madagascar.Verrà infine evidenziato il rapporto tra Accesso aperto e alcuni degli obiettivi dell'Agenda 2030 delle Nazioni Unite.
