Abstract

Resumo:O método Bad Ragaz, é um recurso terapêutico aquático, que utiliza as propriedades da água como pressão hidrostática e densidade para promover a ativação da propriocepção neuromuscular, em pacientes que apresentam comprometimentos e desordens funcionais adquiridos após acidente vascular cerebral. Objetivo: Analisar a eficácia da aplicação do método Bad Ragaz na redução da espasticidade muscular de pacientes após acidente vascular cerebral em fase crônica. Metodologia: Esta revisão utilizou como método de pesquisa artigos nas bases de dados SciElo, PubMed e LILACS, artigos que contivessem informações sobre a redução da espasticidade em pacientes após acidente vascular cerebral em fase crônica e a associação da aplicação do método Bad Ragaz neste público. Resultados: Foram analisados 5 artigos, onde evidenciaram a espasticidade como sequela de acidente vascular cerebral em fase crônica e o uso do método Bad Ragaz de forma eficaz para o controle da mesma. Considerações finais: Considera-se que mesmo em fase crônica a utilização do método Bad Ragaz como recurso terapêutico se mostrou benéfica no tratamento das desordens funcionais de pacientes após o acidente vascular cerebral.
