19. Pachliopta aristolochiae interpositus (Fruhstorfer, 1904) (Chen 2001: 51) This subspecies is confined to Taiwan Island of China, S.W. Japan, and Batanas of the Philippines (Page & Treadaway 2003; Racheli & Cotton 2010; Hsu 2013), and cannot be found anywhere in mainland China, including Yunnan. The subspecies Chen (2001) referred to should be ssp. goniopeltis (Rothschild, 1908) (Racheli & Cotton 2010).
