Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: NB, NF, NS, ON, PE, QC. USA: CA, IA, KS, ME (NSR), NH (NSR), NY, PA, TN. Collection and Habitat data. The ME and NH adults were taken primarily by flight intercept and window traps, with some found in litter by a stream, and from Russula mushrooms and a mass of mushrooms on a large stump. Adults mainly taken from August to October, with two females captured in May–June (possibly overwintering adults). In Canada recorded from various hardwood, coniferous, and mixed forests. Adults found in decaying gilled fungi (often very common), Russula mushrooms, on a bracket fungus, and in a decaying white birch (Betula papyrifera Marshall) log (Klimaszewski et al. 2011, 2018).
