Abstract

Hydraena (Hydraenopsis) guadelupensis d’Orchymont Hydraena guadelupensis d’Orchymont 1923: 37 The new records below document new localities, including the first for Cuba and Dominica.The number of identified specimens in museum collections is raised from 60 to 74. This species has now been collected in Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Guadeloupe, and Jamaica. New records: Cuba: Pinar del Rio, Soroa (2km E), 29.iv.1983, leg. P. J. Spangler (1 NMNH); Dominica: 5 km SW Glanvillia, Espagnole River at Coast Road, 11.vi.1995, leg. M. E. and P. D. Perkins (10 MCZ); Springfield Estate, Mt. Joy House, (15°20’50’’N, 61°22’0’’W), 31.v.–16.vi.2004, leg. S. & J. Peck (1 CMNO); Guadeloupe: Gourbeyre (no date, no collector given) (2 MCZ).
