Abstract

En ---------------- America's tapestry – or it is probably better to say Abya Yala – is intertwined with threads of multiple narratives, traditions and struggles. This territory, with an area of 18 million square kilometres, is a space where worlds, visions and epistemes come together. Undoubtedly, plurality and the inherent human and ecological wealth constitute a critical point concerning biodiversity, heritage, social and political movements, spirituality and philosophies of life that are central in debates on rights, equity and social justice. In this issue, we present an article by Jazmín Mota from MeCCS about the encounter of worlds, knowledge and technologies in Latin America; Tatiana, Rocío and Gianella Espinosa, founders of the Association for the Resilience of the Forest against the Inter-Oceanic (ARBIO), share their vision, experience and challenges in the conservation work of the Amazon forest. In the CO2nversing section, we interviewed Daniel Patiño about the first hydrogen car in Latin America. In the Yes, yes it is section, we show relevant information about America through some maps. Finally, in Take Away, we leave some recommendations to elaborate on this topic.
