Abstract

Etimolojisi 19. yüzyıla dayanan ve Yunanca "taxis" ve "nomia" kelimelerinden türetilmiş olan "taksonomi" kelimesi; sayılabilir şeyler için onları sınıflandırmada kullanılan belirli bir sistem, sayılamaz şeyler için ise "sınıflandırmanın bilimsel süreci" veya "onları gruplar halinde düzenlemek" olarak tanımlanmaktadır (Oxford Learner's Dictionaries, 2023).
