AVALIAÇÃO DO PROCESSO DE TORNEAMENTO DE POLIAMIDA: INFLUÊNCIA DA FERRAMENTA DE CORTE NO ACABAMENTO DA SUPERFÍCIE E NA FORMAÇÃO DO CAVACO

Abstract

No mercado, há atualmente poucas opções de ferramentas de corte específicas para usinagem de polímeros em comparação à grande quantidade de ferramentas desenvolvidas para aço, a escolha correta deste tipo de ferramental pode interferir em grandes proporções na produtividade das empresas. Diante disso este trabalho tem como objetivo avaliar o processo de torneamento de poliamida em torno CNC, bem como os parâmetros de corte para duas classes de ferramenta. Os resultados mostram que a classe de ferramenta que obteve melhores resultados foi a KX, e os parâmetros de corte que obtiveram melhor resultado foi com velocidade de corte superficial de 500 m/min, avanço de 0,35 mm/rev e profundidade de corte de 3 mm. Ambos proporcionaram a melhor formação para o cavaco, que mesmo sendo em forma de fita não interferiu na operação. Pode-se observar também que o acabamento deixado pela ferramenta da classe KX pode ser até 80% melhor que o da classe TP2501 enquanto o seu custo é de apenas 17% maior.
