This poster investigates social vulnerability, which measures resilience in the face of disasters such as floods and hurricanes. Vulnerability does not increase the likelihood of disasters, but rather influences a population or individual's ability to respond and recover from them. Factors influencing vulnerability include but are not limited to: income, race/ethnicity, disability, and education.
