Abstract

Este estudo objetivou verificar a exequibilidade do uso do filme "Os Suspeitos" para ilustrar o conceito de inimputabilidade penal por desenvolvimento mental incompleto. Por meio da técnica de análise de conteúdo de material audiovisual. O filme "Os Suspeitos" foi assistido na íntegra por três diferentes observadores na busca das cenas que fossem ilustrativas do conceito de inimputabilidade penal por desenvolvimento mental incompleto. Nas cenas de "Os Suspeitos" escolhidas consensualmente pelos observadores, verificou-se a clara ilustração da inimputabilidade por desenvolvimento mental incompleto. O personagem Alex Jones demonstra sinais de oligofrenia, uma forma de deficiência no desenvolvimento mental na qual, devido a uma condição congênita ou adquirida, o indivíduo apresenta redução significativa das funções da inteligência e da vontade, bem como alterações de personalidade. Os resultados da análise das cenas do filme "Os Suspeitos" indicam que esse filme poderia ser utilizado para ilustrar o conceito de inimputabilidade por desenvolvimento mental incompleto.
