A one-day introduction to MATLAB for biologists and other life-scientists. No former knowledge of programming assumed. Focus is on getting started with plotting, image analysis, and random walks, while introducing some basic principles of code-hygiene. This material has been used, in earlier versions, at the 2016 and 2017 EMBL master class in bio-image analysis and in the 2016 Copenhagen PhD school in image analysis.
