Titan Atmospheric Model (TAM) Data for "The Heat and Momentum Budgets of Titan's Middle Atmoshere"

Abstract

Here is archived the Titan Atmospheric Model (TAM) data analyzed in "The Heat and Momentum Budgets of Titan's Middle Atmosphere" (Lombardo & Lora, 2024). Questions should be directed to --- nicholas.lombardo@yale.edu, Updated Oct 19 2023 This archive includes netCDF files for zonal mean values of: all_temps -- the temperature all_u --- the zonal wind all_v -- the meridional wind heat_adia --- adiabatic heating from vertical motion heat_hor_tot -- the total advection of heat by meridional motion heat_lw_rad --- heating by longwave radiation heat_sw_rad --- heating by shortwave radiation heat_total --- the total heasting rate of the atmosphere heat_ver_tot --- total advection of heat by vertical motion mome_coriolis --- acceleration due to the Coriolis effect mome_hor_mean -- acceleration by the mean meridional flow mome_hor_st --- acceleration by standing horizontal eddies mome_hor_tr --- acceleration by transient horizontal eddies mome_total --- the total acceleration of the zonal wind mome_ver_mean --- acceleration of the zonal wind by the mean vertical flow mome_ver_st --- acceleration by standing vertical eddies mome_ver_tr --- acceleration by transient vertical eddies
