Abstract

Nederland lijkt in de uitverkoop te worden gedaan. De zeggenschap over oer-Hollandse bedrijven verdwijnt in buitenlandse handen. Recente voorbeelden zijn ABN AMRO (wie had dat gedacht?), VNU, Vendex en zeer recent de HEMA. Hollandser dan deze laatste kan het bijna niet. Veel van deze overnames worden gedaan door private equityfondsen, hedge fondsen en venture capitalists. Deze organisaties worden in de populaire pers veelal afgeschilderd als op kortetermijnwinst beluste investeerders die bedrijven opkopen en ze in korte tijd kaalvreten.
