Abstract

L’année 2019 a été marquée par l’émergence de la pandémie à coronavirus, de la Chine vers le reste du monde, imposant de ce fait à la communauté internationale l’observation des mesures telles de que le lavage régulier des mains, l’évitement des accolades et surtout le confinement. Le Covid-19 a eu des conséquences sur les relations interétatiques, nationales voire familiales. Sur ce dernier point, certaines données sont alarmantes; plus de 270 millions d’infecté·es en 2021. En Chine par exemple, le taux de divorce à l’issue du confinement était en hausse. L’Afrique, même si tardivement touchée par la pandémie, n’est pas en reste. Le Cameroun comptabilisait environ 107662 de contaminé·es en mi-novembre 2021. Dès lors, l’étude s’interroge sur l’impact réel du confinement sur le vécu des familles au Cameroun. Mener une telle recherche en sciences sociales commande de mobiliser des grilles d’analyse telles que le constructivisme et l’interactionnisme symbolique sans omettre l’observation directe et l’exploitation documentaire. Il ressort que les familles camerounaises ont différemment géré la survenance des cas de contamination au coronavirus, avec des effets aussi bien négatifs que positifs.
