Le discours politique constitue, pour apprécier la situation d’un département nouvellement français comme les Alpes-Maritimes, un outil d’analyse très éloquent. Il fournit la représentation d’un territoire politique singulier, et, concernant son positionnement à l’égard de l’Italie, il traduit une attitude ambivalente, à la fois de méfiance et de confiance, de répulsion et d’attirance, en raison de multiples causes de tension, compensées par d’aussi nombreuses raisons d’apaisement. ; The political discourse is to assess the situation of a newly French department as the Alpes-Maritimes, an analytical tool very eloquent. It provides the representation of a singular political territory, and on its position with respect to Italy, it reflects an ambivalent attitude, both of mistrust and trust, repulsion and attraction, because of multiple causes of tension, offset by as many reasons to appeasement.
