Hedychium putaoense Y.H. Tan & H.B. Ding, une nouvelle espèce de Zingiberaceae de Putao, État de Kachin, au nord du Myanmar, est décrite et illustrée. Il est similaire à H. densiflorum Wall. et H. longipedunculatum A.R.K. Sastry & D.M. Verma, mais diffère par sa très petite bractée (4–6 × 2,5-3 mm contre 18–19 × 5-5,5 mm et environ 11 × 7 mm, respectivement), sa bractéole demi-cercle et rouge foncé, sa fleur d'oranger et ses staminodes latérales largement falciformes à lanceolées.
Se describe e ilustra Hedychium putaoense Y.H. Tan & H.B. Ding, una nueva especie de Zingiberaceae de Putao, estado de Kachin, norte de Myanmar. Es similar a H. densiflorum Wall. y H. longipedunculatum A.R.K. Sastry & D.M. Verma, pero difiere por su bráctea muy pequeña (4–6 × 2.5–3 mm vs. 18–19 × 5–5.5 mm y ca. 11 × 7 mm, respectivamente), semicírculo y bracteola de color rojo oscuro, flor naranja y ampliamente falcada a estaminodos laterales lanceolados.
Hedychium putaoense Y.H. Tan & H.B. Ding, a new species of Zingiberaceae from Putao, Kachin state, Northern Myanmar, is described and illustrated. It is similar to H. densiflorum Wall. and H. longipedunculatum A.R.K. Sastry & D.M. Verma, but differs by its very small bract (4–6 × 2.5–3 mm vs. 18–19 × 5–5.5 mm and ca. 11 × 7 mm, respectively), semicircle and dark red bracteole, orange flower and broadly falcate to lanceolate lateral staminodes.
