Efectividad de captura de Scolytinae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) y otros coleópteros en trampas cebadas con semioquímicos en un bosque de pino de Veracruz, México

Abstract

Se evaluaron las trampas Lindgren (TL), paneles cruzados (TC) y tubulares (TT), todas cebadas con los atrayentes semioquímicos ipsdienol (1000 µl), ipsenol (1000 µl) y lanieron (500 mg) para la captura de Scolytinae (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) y los insectos coleópteros asociados y no asociados en un bosque mixto de Pinus spp. en la localidad de Los Pescados, Veracruz, México. Se colocaron 12 trampas (9 cebadas (CS) y 3 controles (SS)) siguiendo un diseño de bloques al azar distribuidas en línea y espaciadas una de otra por una distancia aproximada de 50 m. Las trampas permanecieron del 20 de marzo al 15 de mayo 2015 y la recolección de los ejemplares capturados se realizó semanalmente. Las únicas especies de escolitinos registradas fueron Pseudips mexicanus e Ips bonanseai. Las capturas fueron mayores en las trampas TC en comparación con las TT y las TL. Las familias Salpingidae, Staphylinidae, Curculionidae (no se incluye Scolytinae), Bothrideridae y Latridiidae fueron más abundantes en comparación con las 19 familias restantes (χ²= 191,50, gl= 23, P<0,001) en las trampas CS. Para las familias Salpingidae, Curculionidae, Latridiidae y Bothrideridae la TC fue más eficiente que la TL y la TT. Las TC con atrayentes capturaron un mayor número de individuos de P. mexicanus que las TL (χ²= 4,27, gl= 1, P<0,05). Individuos de I. bonanseai fueron capturados en mayor número en TT que en TC con atrayentes (χ²= 15,45, gl= 1, P<0,05). Las medias no mostraron diferencias significativas entre tipo de trampa en escolitinos. La información obtenida en este estudio comprueba que, al margen de los cebos empleados, el diseño de las trampas utilizadas tiene un impacto en el número de individuos de ciertas especies de insectos coleópteros (incluidos algunos depredadores) capturados durante un monitoreo.
