Abstract

Record of the blister beetle, Croscherichia goryi (Marseul, 1870) is being reported for the first time from the semi-arid north western parts of Rajasthan, India. Key characters to distinguish the genus and morphological description of the species have been given. The morphometric intra specific variation has been presented and its occurrence on watermelon in bloom during April-May, 2019 with a mean population range of 1.5 to 10.0 beetles per plant.
