İlaç Sektöründe Tükenmişlik Sendromu ve Satış Performansı Arasındaki İlişki

Abstract

The purposeof this study is to investigate whether the personal accomplishment of thesales department employees working in pharmaceutical industry is affected byemotional exhaustion and depersonalization or not. Based on the internaldynamics of burnout syndrome, the mechanism that builds personal accomplishmentfeeling of employees is the research question of this study. In the extantliterature, the relationship among the internal dimensions of burnout has notattained a consensus. This research provides an important contribution to theexisting literature by explaining the statistically significant relationshipsamong personal accomplishment, emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. Thisresearch is a quantitative study. Research datawere gathered from the sales employees working at pharmaceutical companies, bymeans of a questionnaire. All of the items are collected on a Likert-type5-level measurement tool. Test ofhypotheses was performed by means of partial least square structural equationmodeling (PLS-SEM) method. The findings designate a negative and significantrelationship between emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment, andbetween depersonalization and personal accomplishment. In conclusion, thisstudy recommends some practical managerial implications to increase thepersonal accomplishment feeling of employees.
