During of hydrobiological studies of the watercourses of the Altai Mountainous Country in Russia, the larvae of archaic Nymphomyiidae (Diptera) which closely related to Nymphomyia cf. rohdendorfi were found for the first time. A morphological description of the larvae and the ecological conditions of their habitats are given.
