The collection of articles contains the articles presented at the 82nd International Scientific Conference of the University of Latvia, section "Vectors of Cohesion Understanding for the Development of a Civically Active Society", prepared within the framework of the State Research Programme "Development of a cohesive and civically active society" project "Vectors of societal cohesion: from cohesion around the nation-state (2012-2018) to a cohesive civic community for the security of the state, society and individuals (2024-2025)" (VPP-KM-SPASA-2023/1-0002). A conference session was held on 26 and 27 March 2024, presenting the objectives and main tasks of the SRP project. The articles address the issues of Latvian statehood, national identity, the actualization of civic society, the impact of media and digital services in relation to social cohesion, cooperation, mutual trust between local governments, the state and society as a whole. 

Rakstu krājumā apkopoti Latvijas Universitātes 82. starptautiskās zinātniskās konferences sekcijas “Saliedētības izpratnes vektori pilsoniski aktīvas sabiedrības attīstībai” materiāli, kas sagatavoti VPP programmas "Saliedētas un pilsoniski aktīvas sabiedrības attīstības" projekta "Sabiedrības saliedētības vektori: no saliedētības ap valstsnāciju (2012-2018) uz saliedēto pilsonisko kopienu valsts, sabiedrības un indivīdu drošības labā (2024-2025)" (VPP-KM-SPASA-2023/1-0002) ietvarā. Konferences sekcija notika 2024. gada 26. un 27. martā, iepazīstinot ar VPP projekta mērķiem un galvenajiem uzdevumiem. Rakstu autori rakstos aplūko jautājumus par Latvijas valstiskumu, nacionālās identitātes apziņu, pilsoniskās sabiedrības aktualizāciju, plašsaziņas līdzekļu un digitālo pakalpojumu ietekmi mijiedarbībā ar sabiedrības saliedētību, sadarbību, savstarpējo uzticēšanos pašvaldībām, valstij un sabiedrībai kopumā
