Introduction :Benign prostatic hypertrophy is a major problem that is often the cause of urinary problems in men over 50, and cancause severe complications such as urinary retention or kidney failure. The objective was to determine the clinical, therapeutic, evolutionary profile and the nursing care provided to those undergoing surgery for benign prostatic hypertrophy to contribute to improving the nursing care of those undergoing surgery for this problem at the PANZI General Reference Hospital. Methods: This was a descriptive study with retrospective collection which was carried out at the Panzi General Reference Hospital. It covered the period from 2021 to 2025, i.e. almost five years. This is an exhaustive sampling study which examined 80 patients operated on for benign prostatic hypertrophy, the data was processed by Epi Info software.
