Background: Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy experience numerous adverse effects from both the disease and treatment modalities. Anorexia and sleep disturbances represent the most prevalent symptoms that are linked to decreased quality of life and overall survival. Bensons Relaxation Technique is an effective complementary and non pharmacological intervention that ameliorates symptom severity and improves patient outcomes. Aim of the study: The study aimed to evaluate the effect of implementing Bensons Relaxation Technique on the severity of anorexia and quality of sleep among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Design: A quasi-experimental research design was utilized. Setting:The study was conducted in medical and surgical departments at the National Cancer Institute, Egypt. Conclusion: Bensons Relaxation Technique had a positive effect on the severity of anorexia and quality of sleep among cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Recommendations: Hospitals are recommended to incorporate the Bensons Relaxation Technique alongside conventional treatments to alleviate anorexia and sleep disturbances in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
