Cenários de uso do RDC-Arq integrado ao SIGAD

Abstract

Introduction: This study explores the use cases of an RDC-Arq system in conjunction with SIGAD, including the presence or absence of Business Systems. To this end, it uses CONARQ Technical Guideline No. 3 as a basis. This standard presents three scenarios for using RDC-Arq in the management environment, acting as a supporting component for SIGAD. The e-ARQ Brasil model is considered for SIGAD implementation and the OAIS/ISO 14721 model for RDC-Arq. Objective: To discuss the interactions proposed by Technical Guideline No. 3, in the three scenarios, between Business Systems, SIGAD, and RDC-Arq, the latter being responsible for the long-term preservation and protection of personal data and sensitive personal data, both in the management environment and in the preservation and access environment. Methodology: This study presents a triangulation between CONARQ Technical Guideline No. 3, SIGAD, and RDC-Arq, supported by exploratory bibliographic research. Results: The RDC-Arq is an indispensable component in the preservation and access environment, and adequate levels of interoperability with SIGAD must be maintained to maintain a Digital Archival Chain of Custody. Conclusion: The advantages and challenges of each scenario are demonstrated, with their applicability dependent on the maturity level of each institution's archival and digital preservation policies. These reflections expand knowledge about the implementation of RDC-Arq support, considering its relevance in the management environment.
