Abstract

Artykuł ukazuje obraz Śląska i jego mieszkańców w relacjach polskich oficerów wojsk napoleońskich. Wzmianki w ich wspomnieniach dotyczą m.in. identyfikacji narodowej mieszkańców tych ziem, powitań zdobywców, są objawem świadomości odległej przynależności tej prowincji do Polski (lub jej braku) i zaawansowania cywilizacyjnego.
