The significant role that leather played in the Nasrid productive sphere does not correspond in any way to the almost total lack of knowledge that we have about it. In this work, we carry out an exercise of locating leather manufacture in the territory of the Nasrid emirate on the basis of the archaeological remains and textual information available, to then reflect on its location, its changes in relation to the urban structure in which it is inserted and evaluate the role that producers may have played in these matters.
