Truth and lies about Open Ukrainian Citation Index (OUCI)

Abstract

The Open Ukrainian Citation Index (OUCI) it is a project of the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine for create a new search engine and a citation database, based on the metadata of publishers that use Cited-by Crossref and support the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC). This presentation contains an explanation of the idea of creating the future tool and refutation some false allegations and fears of potential users of OUCI.
