
This dataset contains relationships involving research organisations deposited by Crossref members and discovered by an automated affiliation matching strategy. It includes data deposited until the end of March 2025. The following relationships are included: contributor’s affiliations institutional contributors work’s institutions grant investigator’s affiliations The dataset contains: 140,906,929 total assertions 1,014,325 (0.7%) assertions contain a ROR ID deposited by Crossref members 94,988,729 (67%) assertions contain a ROR ID discovered by an automated affiliation matching strategy The dataset contains fields: DOI (string): the DOI of the source work relationship (contributor-affiliation, institutional-contributor, institution, or investigator-affiliation): the type of the relationship with the organisation contributor-role (author, editor, chair, or translator): contributor's role, if the relationship is contributor-affiliation or institutional-contributor contributor (object): contributor's metadata, if the relationship is contributor-affiliation investigator-role (investigator, lead-investigator, or co-lead-investigator): grant investigator's role, if the relationship is investigator-affiliation investigator (object): grant investigator's metadata, if the relationship is investigator-affiliation seq_num (int): sequence number of the contributor, investigator, or institution in the original work (starts from 1) organisation-string (string): string representing the organisation that was matched ror-id (string): ROR ID of the organisation, either supplied by the publisher or the matching strategy ror-id-asserted-by (publisher or matching): whether the ROR ID was supplied by the publisher or the matching strategy Contributors and investigators have the following fields: given, family, suffix, alternate-name, ORCID.
