Abstract

Τα τελευταία χρόνια, με τις ραγδαίες διαστημικές ανακαλύψεις, η επιστημονική κοινότητα έχει οδηγηθεί στην υπόθεση πως ο πλανήτης Άρης χαρακτηρίζεται από μία μακρόχρονη ιστορία και πως το ψυχρό, αφιλόξενο περιβάλλον του που γνωρίζουμε σήμερα πιθανόν να ήταν στο παρελθόν παρόμοιο με αυτό της Γης, με συνθήκες καταλληλότερες για την επιβίωση μορφών ζωής. Η παρούσα βιβλιογραφική εργασία αποσκοπεί στη διερεύνηση μεθόδων για την αναδιαμόρφωση και οικοποίηση αυτού του πλανήτη, ώστε να είναι εφικτή η μακροχρόνια ανάπτυξη και εξέλιξη γήινων μορφών ζωής.
