Γιατί το μεταλλικό πόμολο μιας ξύλινης πόρτας μας φαίνεται ψυχρότερο από την πόρτα;

Abstract

Σε αυτή την εργασία θα απαντήσουμε στο ερώτημα γιατί όταν ακουμπάμε το μεταλλικό πόμολο μιας ξύλινης πόρτας αισθανόμαστε ότι έχει μικρότερη θερμοκρασία από την πόρτα, παρότι και τα δύο σώματα έχουν την ίδια θερμοκρασία (του περιβάλλοντος). Θα ερμηνεύσουμε αυτό το φαινόμενο με τους νόμους της φυσικής. Αρχικά θα διερευνήσουμε τους παράγοντες από τους οποίους εξαρτάται η θερμοκρασία θ που αποκτά η επιφάνεια επαφής δυο σωμάτων Α και Β διαφορετικής θερμοκρασίας θΑ και θΒ. Απλοποιώντας τη γεωμετρία του προβλήματος και συνδυάζοντας τους νόμους της θερμιδομετρίας και του Fourier για τη διάδοση της θερμότητα βρίσκουμε ότι η θερμοκρασία επαφής θ1 δίδεται από τη σχέση: ((θ_Α + θ_Β ∙ Λ))/(1+Λ) [1] . Η Λ είναι μια σταθερά που εξαρτάται από τις θερμικές ιδιότητες των δυο υλικών και θΑ>θΒ. Στη συνέχεια διερευνούμε την [1] για διάφορα υλικά.
