Η γενετική μέθοδος CRISPR

Abstract

Η εργασία πραγματεύεται την αναλυτική παρουσίαση της γενετικής μεθόδου CRISPR, την εφαρμογή της για τη θεραπεία γενετικών ασθενειών, καρκίνου κ.ά., το ιστορικό της ανακάλυψής της, τις μελλοντικές βλέψεις σχετικά με τη χρήση της, καθώς και το τι επιφυλάσσει στην επιστήμη της Ιατρικής και τον άνθρωπο. Τα ερευνητικά ερωτήματα που τίθενται είναι πώς μπορεί η CRISPR να βελτιώσει τη ζωή του μέσου ανθρώπου και πώς οι κοινωνικές αλλαγές που θα επέλθουν μέσω αυτής της καινοτομίας θα επηρεάσουν την ανθρώπινη υπόσταση, αλλά και τον κόσμο όπως τον ξέρουμε. Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε τέσσερις θεματικές υποενότητες: η πρώτη έχει περιγραφικό χαρακτήρα, η δεύτερη λειτουργεί ως ιστορική αναδρομή, η τρίτη αφορά στα μελλοντικά σχέδια γύρω από την CRISPR, ενώ η τέταρτη και τελευταία εξετάζει τις μακροπρόθεσμες συνέπειες που θα επέλθουν στην ανθρωπότητα μέσω της ευρείας χρήσης της εν λόγω γενετικής μεθόδου. Τέλος παρουσιάζονται και οι αρνητικές συνέπειες της μη σωστής χρήσης και εφαρμογής της.
