
Scutellaria albovillosa and S. yangchunensis (Lamiaceae), two new species from Yangchun city in southwestern Guangdong province, China, are here illustrated and described. The two new species are similar to S. wongkei in habit and in having leaflike bracts and bluish or lilac flowers, but differ by an array of characters, including the indumentum of stem, leaves and rachis, the shape of leaves and flowers, and the color of middle lobe of lower corolla lip. Meanwhile, S. albovillosa differs from S. yangchunensis by the indumentum of stem and rachis, and the shape of leaves, bracts and corolla tube. A distribution map of the two new species and S. wongkei is provided.
