Some interesting Ferulago (Apiaceae) specimens with long stems, 7–9 mm long bracts, and 8–11 mm wide mericarps were collected from Horasan District (Erzurum Province, Türkiye). At first glance, the specimens resembled the species Ferulago setifolia (sect. Eutaenia) as a habit. However, through a detailed examination, it was determined that there were some differences. Based on these differences, the specimens are presented to the scientific world as a new species named “Ferulago turcica”. The most obvious attributes that separate the new species from Ferulago setifolia, that is the closest taxon, are: blades of basal leaves triangular in outline and 3-pinnatisect (not linear-lanceolate and (3-)4-pinnatisect); terminal lobes of basal leaves 1–3 mm long and apiculate at apex (not 5–8(–12) mm long and setaceous-filiform at apex); bracts oblong and 7–9 mm long (not linear-lanceolate and 7–17 mm long); pedicels 9–14 and 3–6 mm long (not 8–10 and 7–11 mm long); mericarps 9–11 mm wide and broadly obovate-elliptic (not 7–8 mm wide and oblong-elliptic); epicuticular wax on the mericarp body sparsely irregular (not dense irregular). This study provided an elucidation outlining the attributes of the newly discovered species, complemented by photographic evidence and an overview of its broader ecological inclinations.
