Based on an SAR speckle statistical model, the authors investigate the feasibility of segmenting SAR images based on a gray-level histogram for one-look and multilook processed SAR images. The classification errors are evaluated and a procedure for the multilevel thresholding of SAR images is devised. The misclassification probabilities for one-look and four-look processed images are calculated and presented, and an unsupervised segmentation algorithm is given. A simulated one-look intensity image and a four-look SIR-B amplitude image are used for illustration. >
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 105 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 1% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Top 10% |
