Abstract

1. In Ubereinstimmung mit Schiff wird festgestellt, a) das auf zuckerfreiem Agar gezuchteter X19 von Kaninchenimmunserum nur bei groserer Konzentration agglutiniert wird, b) das Traubenzuckerzusatz die Agglutination erhoht bis zur Spontanagglutination, die sich allerdings bei uns erst durch langeres Uberimpfen auf Zuckeragar erzielen lies. 2.a) Diese Erhohung des Agglutinationstiters wird zur Norm zuruckgefuhrt durch Nutrosezusatz zum Zuckeragar. b) Milchzucker bildet mit X19 keine Saure und erhoht die Agglutinabilitat so gut wie gar nicht. 3. Es wird auf die Wahrscheinlichkeit hingewiesen, das durch die Nutrose eine bei Vergarung des Traubenzuckers entstehende Saure adsorbiert wird. Es wird jedoch nicht angenommen, das es sich um eine einfache Saureagglutination handelt, sondern das es sich entweder um eine Summation der Saure- zur Immunagglutination handelt, oder das bei der Aufspaltung des Traubenzuckers eine Katalase entsteht, wobei offen gelassen wird, ob die Saure direkt als Katalysator wirkt. 4. Aus der Form der Agglutination wird geschlossen, das moglicherweise auch der Gehalt an O- und H-Rezeptoren im Serum von Bedeutung fur den Titer sein konnte. 5. Auser den obigen Momenten spielt bei der Erhohung bzw. Herabsetzung der Agglutinationsfahigkeit die Anderung der Oberflachenspannung wahrscheinlich eine wichtige Rolle.
