Synthesen in der Zuckergruppe II

Abstract

Obschon ich seit der zusammenfassenden Abhandlung II vom Jahre 1894 an dem Ausbau der Zuckergruppe keinen grosen Anteil mehr nehmen konnte, so scheint es mir doch fur die Zwecke dieses Buches nutzlich, die seitdem gemachten Erfahrungen hier in ahnlichem Zusammenhang darzustellen, wie es fruher geschehen ist. Das Hauptgewicht wird dabei fallen auf einige stereochemische Fragen, ferner auf die ausfuhrlich bearbeitete Synthese der Glucoside und endlich auf die leider noch durftig gebliebene Synthese von Disacchariden. Dagegen werde ich die Versuche uber Fermente und die damit im Zusammenhang stehenden physiologischen Probleme nur fluchtig streifen, weil sie ausfuhrlich in der zusammenfassenden Abhandlung „Bedeutung der Stereochemie fur die Physiologie“ (S. 116) geschildert sind.
