Renal function assessed by creatinine is a key prognostic factor in cirrhotic patients. However, creatinine levels alone may not accurately reflect kidney function in these patients. Therefore, the development of novel kidney markers that can accurately assess kidney function in cirrhotic patients is crucial. This study aims to investigate the sex specificity of kidney markers to assess prognosis in cirrhotic patients. The results of this study will provide valuable insights into the development of novel kidney markers for the assessment of kidney function in cirrhotic patients.
