Inspection Error Impact on Quality and Productivity

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of inspection error on quality and producer losses for a manufacturing process centre with a nominal-the-best type quality characteristic. The results show that inspection error significantly affects the quality and productivity of the process. The findings of this study can be used to improve the quality and productivity of manufacturing processes by reducing inspection error.
