We used qualitative, quantitative, and observational methods to assess the feasibility, acceptability, and potential efficacy of Proyecto Orgullo (PO), a pilot community mobilisation intervention to develop and implement a comprehensive HIV prevention and empowerment strategy. The intervention aimed to increase HIV testing, reduce stigma, and promote healthy relationships among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Peru. The results showed that PO was feasible and acceptable, and had a positive impact on HIV testing and stigma reduction. The study highlights the importance of community-led initiatives in addressing HIV prevention and empowerment among MSM in Peru.
