Generations of students have struggled to learn histology. They have found the subject extremely dry and the nomenclature very challenging. Insidiously, histology has been relegated to the backburner in medical education. However, histology is a fundamental subject that underpins the understanding of disease processes. Therefore, it is essential to improve histology education to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their future careers. By adopting innovative teaching methods and incorporating interactive learning tools, histology education can be made more engaging and effective. This, in turn, will enhance the learning experience of students and improve their overall academic performance.
