This study aimed to investigate whether obesity, central obesity, and weight gain are associated with periodontal pocketing. The association between long-term obesity and weight gain with periodontal pocketing was examined in a cohort of patients. The results showed that obesity and weight gain were significantly associated with periodontal pocketing, suggesting a potential link between obesity and periodontal disease. The findings of this study have implications for the prevention and management of periodontal disease in obese individuals.
