This research activity aims to document and characterize the complex intergrowth of oxide minerals in granulite facies rocks. The study focuses on the Eastern Ghats Belt, India, where a suite of granulite facies rocks exhibits intricate relationships between spinel, ilmenite, magnetite, hematite, corundum, and rutile. The research will provide valuable insights into the geological history and tectonic evolution of the region, shedding light on the complex processes that shaped the Earth's crust. By analyzing the oxide assemblages, the study will contribute to a better understanding of the Earth's mantle and crustal interactions, ultimately advancing our knowledge of the Earth's internal dynamics.
